EVACUATION OF FILIPINOS IN GREECE


TRIPOLI PORT..........#This is the port area in Tripoli during the war repatriation of foreign workers on March 1, 2011......:)RDM




A NIGHT OF PREPARATION........#We left at TMC flat at 3AM on February 28 to register at the Philippine Embassy, then we moved to the Tripoli port at 12PM on the same day.



ON GREEK CRUISE.......#After 14 hours of waiting for Greek Cruise Ship, we left in Tripoli port at 4AM on March 1, 2011 for Crete, Greece. We took lunch, dinner and breakfast in one meal at 4:30AM on the Cruise. After two days travel at Mediterranean Sea, we finally reached Crete where we stayed for 3-day in a half.........:)RDM



SECOND DAY ON THE CRUISE............#We were a bit relax on our second day on the cruise because we were rested and free from rebel attacks........:)RDM




BEACH RESORT..........#This is the Philippine government rented resort for the evacuated Filipinos from Libya. This is a five star beach resort in Crete, Greece. We were 1200 Filipinos from Libya.....:)RDM


OUR ROOM IN THE RESORT........#We were talking about our flight the next day. The scene in our room with other Filipino repatriates in the resort in Crete, Greece......:)RDM






QUEUE FOR BREAKFAST...........#There was a long line of evacuees in the dinning hall to take breakfast.....:)RDM


EATING GREEK FOODS..........#It was a nice experience in the beach resort in Crete. It seems we were not evacuees coz everybody was well dressed and plenty of foods, really, sky is the limit.........:)RDM






OUTSIDE THE DINNING HALL..........#After the breakfast, we posed with a Greek Police who guarding us all the time to prevent anyone to escape in Crete Island......:)RDM

ON THE SEASIDE...........#We had exciting moments during our stay in the resort for almost three days. It has a nice seaside view. Crete is an island good for vacation......:)RDM
